Drafts, Not Live Listings
GearDock publishes to Shopify as DRAFT products. Making a product live in your storefront remains an action you take in Shopify. GearDock does not set products live on its own.
The Publishing Sequence
Connect the Store
Authorize GearDock through Shopify's OAuth flow. Credentials are stored as protected references, not displayed after authorization.
Review and Release the Content
Only released content is eligible. Approval alone does not make an item publishable.
Publish as Draft
GearDock creates or updates the Shopify product in draft state, and records what was sent.
Go Live in Shopify
You make the product live in Shopify when you are satisfied with it.
Other Destinations
GearDock also has executable provider profiles across PIM, commerce, CMS, cloud files, and SFTP. Their proof levels differ: WordPress, WooCommerce, and Magento have real local-provider proof, while others are protocol- or contract-tested. Every customer connection still requires configuration, qualification, and separate activation.
